Introducing our mission partner with BMS World Mission in Paris, Mrs Christine Kling.
Christine is our newest global mission partner. We have been supporting her for about a year. Christine is a French national but she came to faith here in Scotland whilst working for Hewlett Packard after the tragic death of her husband from lung cancer in 2008. She trained for Baptist Ministry at the Scottish Baptist College, (University of South West Scotland) from 2010 and is now pastor of a small Baptist church being planted in one of the large suburbs of Paris, Gif-sur-Yvette. There are about 15 members and the church is slowly growing. Two years ago a BMS Action Team assisted here in the plant. She spends a significant amount of her time as Chaplain of a large care home, Chenes Verts Nursing Home. It is the only one in Gif-sur-Yvette and is well known. Christine has been at the forefront of helping the nursing home cope with the Coronavirus pandemic. Please pray for: - Wisdom in how best to reach this Parisian district with the Gospel - A new Alpha course starting on line - Safety as the fellowship attempts to meet again in person with social distancing - A team of local folk to assist Christine. |
Please pray for our Alpha course, as we start to invite people, that Covid19 context won't be an obstacle, and pray that the fellowship of the church will be strengthened by this project. |
