Following Jesus

an invitation to journey

Foundations

1. The Call
Based on the stories of Jesus first encounters with his disciples this study asks us to reflect on how we first met with Him

Picture
2. Transformation
Meeting with Jesus brings change. This study looks at Jesus meeting with tax collectors, and how Jesus was able to transform their lives

Picture
3. The Heart
Perhaps the most difficult of questions when Jesus asks “Do you love me more than these”. What is Jesus referring to, is it people or processions. Both can be a challenge. Jesus still asks the question.

4. Death and Resurrection - the cost
The study entwines the thought of the cost of discipleship with the power of the symbol of baptism.

Practice

5. Rooted in God's Word
How well do we know what God has said to us in his word. Can we identify with the writer of Psalm 119, or do we know where to turn to when asked why we believe what the Bible says?

Picture
6. Growing Prayer
Looks at how Jesus taught us to pray, and helps us develop tools so that we can grow prayer in our own lives.

Picture
7. Life in the Spirit
We are not alone. Jesus has given us his Spirit to be beside us in all that we do, but how can we become more aware of him, and how he longs to guide us?

Picture
8. Living in step with the Spirit
We have the untold joy of knowing we are no longer forced to make wrong choices. We have been set free to live lives that please God, but how does this work in practice?

Picture
9. Growing Community
I am a christian, but what is that to do with the church?

Purpose

10. Faithful Witness
What does it mean to be a witness. Who are we called to speak to, how can I be a better witness?

Picture
11. Living Differently
Does being a christian affect how I live, how should dI understand what I own and what I earn?

Picture
12. Using the Gifts of the Spirit
A we left powerless in a world of darkness. If we have the Spirit will everything work out ok?

Picture
13. Spiritual Warfare
Is life simple for christians, one long story of God keeping us from harm, and bringing us at last into his Kingdom?

Picture
14. Being Disciple Makers
Who helped us to grow as christians, how can we go on to support others. Is this a specialist job or can anyone apply?
