Colombia

For many years Colombia was torn apart by civil war. The waring parties were largely financed by the drugs trade. Ever since the civil war ended there has been a desperate need to see new crops grown instead of those related to drugs, and to bring hope to the people in this devastated country.

One of the charities seeking to do this is Fundacion Amigos y Hermanos. Martin went to Colombia last year and met with Lizbeth and was shown round some of the projects they are supporting.

We will bring more news about what is happening in Colombia, but please pray for Lizbeth, and for this charity as they seek to bring peace and hope to Colombia. There are still many problems, not least armed gangs who would want to continue supplying drugs rather that more conventional crops.

You can finds out more about the work of Fundacion Amigos y Hermanos on their website (https://fundacionamigosyhermanos.org). Make sure you click on the Union flag for the English language version.
